Relationship between High Resolution CT Appearance of Ground Glass Opacity and Pathological Grading of Peripheral Lung Adenocarcinoma

Abstract

Objective To study the relationship between high resolution CT appearance of GGO and pathological grading of peripheral lung adenocarcinoma.Materials and Methods One hundred and nine patients with peripheral lung adenocarcinoma proved by surgery and pathology underwent CT scan before treament.Presence or absence of GGO and pathological grading were analyzed retrospectively.Results In these peripheral lung adenocarcinomas,there were significant relationships between the pathological grading and GGO.Conclusion Peripheral lung adenocarcinomas with GGO have lower degree of malignancy.
