Abstract

Various methods of production of polyethylene grafted maleic anhydride (PE-g-MA) were compared by experiments. It was noted that the best way is reactive extrusion by means of reactive extruder. Its outstanding characteristics is that less free maleic anhydride exists in PE g MA and the process is automatic.It was also found that graft of HDPE was easier than that of LDPE,dicumyl peroxide had greater effect on graft rate than that of maleic anhydride.
