Abstract
Based on the data from the 2014 EU industrial RD investment scoreboard,this paper compared the difference of enterprise RD investment between Mainland China and Taiwan.Study showed that:(1)overall,the mean of RD,RD intensity and RD growth in Mainland China were higher than that in Taiwan;(2)compared to Taiwan,top RD investors in Mainland China were more decentralized,and had a high distribution in low RD intensity industry and a low distribution in high RD intensity industry;(3)RD of pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry in Mainland China and Taiwan both had lagged far behind the developed countries.This research is meaningful to understand the current status of enterprise RD investment in China.
