Quantitative Study of China's R&D Investment

Based on the data of science and technology funds statistical bulletin reported by the National Bureau of Statistics of China,this paper analyzed China's RD investment in recent years.Studies have shown that China's RD investment has greatly increased in recent years.Enterprises have enhanced the main body position of China's RD investment.China's RD investment has focused on experimental development.However,there are still many deficiencies.Firstly,RD investment intensity is still low.Secondly,the ratio of basic research,applied research and experimental development investment is imbalance.Finally,the government RD investment is insufficient.These deficiencies have constrained the development of basic research and applied research.Increasing China's RD investment,enhancing RD investment intensity,in particular,raising government RD investment and maintaining basic research,applied research and experimental development investment in the harmonious proportion are important factors to guarantee comprehensive and healthy development of China's science and technology.
