Abstract

This paper set up a method to monitor vanillin, vanillin acid, vanillin alcohol and ferulic acid in the fermentation broth simultaneously by high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC).The chromatography column used was an Eclipse Zorbax XDB-C18 column(4.6mm × 150mm,5μm),and the mobile phase was methanol:water:acetic acid(35:65:0.05).The flow rate was 0.80mL/min and the detection wavelengths were 260nm and 280nm.Under this selected chromatography conditions, the four substances could be separated effectively.Meanwhile, within certain concentration range, the components had good linear relation and the method had good precision,as well as satisfactory recovery.
