Abstract
As the future development tendency, a technology of rotary steering drilling attracts more concerns. Measurement while drilling of downhole engineering parameter is an important part. In this paper, the basic principle of measurement instrument of engineering parameter is presented and the instrument has been applied to Wenxing 5 Well. A large amount of drilling pressure and torque data around bit has been obtained. And the instrument conforms to the field conditions. Results show that the instrument can meet the requirement of actual drilling. Moreover, around-bit working performance can be gained clearly. This provides an intuitive way to analyze the actual work of downhole drilling tools.
