The overall capacity and level of equipment manufacturing industry reflect the comprehensive manufacture capacity of one country or one region.Equipment manufacturing industry is the pillar industry in Shaanxi,and is the key driving force to Shaanxi industry and national economy development.Since our country is now in the new round of economic development,Shaanxi manufacturing industry is now faced with a good opportunity.Based on the analysis of the present state of Shaanxi manufacturing industry,the principal component analysis has been applied to the assessment on the competitiveness of Shaanxi equipment manufacturing industry.And then some countermeasures are put forward in order to promote the competitiveness of this industry.
