Abstract
Objective To investigate the postoperative analgesic effects of parecoxib sodium combined with lower-extremity peripheral nerve block in patients undergoing lower limb surgery. Methods A total of 120patients undergoing lower limb surgery were selected and randomly divided into two groups ( n=60 ): the parecoxib sodium group ( group P ) and the control group ( group C ) .After successful lumbar and sacral plexus block , patients in group P were intravenously administered parecoxib sodium 40mg on the operative day and the next two days.VAS was obtained at 24 , 48 , and 72hours postoperatively.Time to first pain , the max VAS score , the number of patients needed analgesia , the dosage of analgesics ( morphine ) were recorded and the adverse reactions was also observed. Results The VAS scores at 24and 48hours postoperatively , the max VAS score , the number of patients demanded analgesia , and the dosage of morphine administered were all lower in group P than those in group C ( P0.05 ) .The incidence of nausea and vomiting in group P was significant lower than group C ( P0.05 ) .There was no significant difference in the incidence of other adverse reactions between the two groups within 24hafter operation. Conclusion Parecoxib sodium combined with lower extremity peripheral block is safe and effective analgesic method after lower limb surgery.Parecoxib sodium could be a good choice of perioperative multimodal analgesia techniques.
