Abstract
Objective:To analyze sputum smear positive patient in the sex ratio and its clinical significance in Guiyang Pulmonary Hospital.Methods:we review the 1882 cases diagnosed as tuberculosis in sputum smear test result ftom January 2008 to december 2008.sputum smears taken by Ziehl-Neelsen staining.Results:a to-tal of 553 patients were smear-positive.The observed male:female ratio of smear-positive was 2.41:1,The proportions of sputum-pos-itive female and male patients were proved signficantly(P0.01).Conclusions:There is an obvious gender difference with smear-positive patients in Guiyang Pulmonary Hospitsl,The positive rate of sputum,there is also a clear gender difference in the age group 20-29.
