GEOLOGIC FEATURES AND ORE SEARCH POTENTIAL OF ZHAOGOU GOLD DEPOSIT

Abstract
Zhaogou gold deposit is located at the east part of Lixian-Mingxian gold metallogenic belt.It is a medium sized gold deposit around Liba large sized gold deposit.With the progress of geological exploration,we found that the geological features and ore-controlling factors of Zhaogou gold deposit are similar to those of Liba large gold deposit.Ore bodies are controlled by faults and veins.Analyzing on ore-controlling factors reveals that there exists great potential of ore bodies in the deep part and west part of the known ore bodies and further prospecting should be carried out on these parts.Zhaogou gold deposit is hopeful to become to another large-scale deposit after Liba and Jinshan deposits in Lixian-Minshan gold metallogenic belt.
