Maojiadian gold deposit is located in northeast part of lingyuan-xifengkou gold ore zone.The deposit is a gold-bearing quartz vein type,gold deposit is controlled by regional faults,yanshan period mica granite and badaohe group metamorphic complex-rock.By the analyzing of geological chracters of the gold ore deposit,sum up further genetic laws of the gold ore,and consider preliminary that,there is a potential for prospecting in the district.
