Abstract
The 1 025 t/h boiler was originally equipped with a round-belt-driven Ljungstorm tri-sector regenerative air preheater in Shajiao A Power Plant. The air leakage rate was high since the air preheater was commissioned and affected boiler safe and economic operation. A center-driven tri-sector air heater with a clearance adjuster was adopted to replace the original air preheater. The structure and parameters of the new air preheater are introduced with the problems and experience met in the replacement. The economy of the air preheater before and after reform is also introduced. The total investment of the reform was RMB 1.45 million yuan and it is expected to pay off in 3.29 years. The reform in this power plant may be a reference for the reform of the same type air preheaters.
