What Kind of Conception of Citizen Ethics is Expected

It is an internal demand of the developing society of Chinese citizen to have a citizen ethics. So we must step beyond the academic misleading of scrutinizing the Chinese citizen society and ethics from the perspective of the western civic society. In other words, the superiority of constitutional and political system of China determines the inevitability of citizen society and the indispensability of the conception of citizen ethics. And the scientific conception of citizen ethics must take the common logos as its foundation and the inter-subjective equality as its axes, make a clear distinction of ethical responsibili- ty, and treat political justice as its end. Hence, a borderline must be drawn from the traditional morality of internal saint, the moral-first standard, the consecratory morality, the imperative morality and the self-serving morality.
