Synthesis of [Zn(phen)_3]·2Bsesa·4H_2O Complex and Its Crystal Structure

Abstract

Complex [Zn(phen)3]·2Bsesa·4H2O(1) was synthesized by reaction of o-phenanthroline(phen),2-benzenesulfony amino-ethanesulfonic acid(BsesaH) and zinc acetate in water-ethanol solution.The structure was determined by IR,elemental analysis and X-ray diffraction.The crystal of 1 belongs to triclinic system,space group P-1 with a=1.111 5(3) nm,b=1.415 5(4) nm,c=1.748 6(5) nm,α=80.764(5)°,β=87.237(5)°,γ=88.081(5)°,V=2.711 3(14) nm3,Z=2,Dc=1.478 g·cm-3,μ=0.681 mm-1,F(000)=125 2.1 exhibites a distorted tetrahedron geommetry in which Zn(Ⅱ) is coordinated with three phen,without O atoms of BsesaH.
