Abstract
The title complex was synthesized by reaction of o-phenanthroline(phen), N-p-tolysulfonytaurine(TsTausH) and zinc acetate in water-ethanol solution. The structure was characterized by X-ray diffraction, IR and elemental analysis. The crystal belongs to monoclinic system, space group C_~2/c with a=2.9246(8) nm, b=1.0375(2) nm, c=2.1361(5) nm, β=126.07 (1)°, V=5.242(2) nm3, Z=4, Dc=1.496 g·cm~-3 , μ=0.699 mm~-1 , F(000)=2448. The Zn(Ⅱ) is coordinated by three phen, while the O atoms of TsTausH did not coordinated. At the same time, the Zn(Ⅱ) formed a distorted octahedron geommetry.
