Abstract
The influence of on-line bus stop and bus bay on the capacity of roadway links is studied. The vehicle operating characteristics are analyzed by means of bus influence area for each type of bus stop.Based on this calculation model, the capacity of roadway links is developed using queuing theory and gap acceptance theory. And the validity of the model is verified by VISSIM simulation, the average relative errors are 2.73%and 3.10%respectively.It shows that this model can accurately calculate the capacity of links affected by bus stops. Finally, the adjustment factors of bus stop are achieved by the model, and some factors, especially dwell time, are analyzed.
