Application of PACS System in Radiology

Abstract

Objective:To introduce the application of the PACS system in radiology department in the Wuhan Children Hospital.Methods:Through HL7 protocol and DICOM Worklist,the PACS was integrated with the HIS and RIS system,and it successfully connected the Full-PACS with the imaging equipment,cameras,computers,professional portraits,printers and so on.Results:The PACS achieved filmless and paperless,optimized workflow and improved efficiency.Conclusion:It seamlessly integrate the PACS,RIS and HIS system,within technical framework guidance of IHE,which is based on DICOM3.0 standard and HL7 protocol.
