Total Factor Education Efficiency Measure and Decomposition Based on the Malmguist Index in Some Provincesn

This paper is based on the Malmquist productivity index,empirical estimates the 2000~2009 29 regions across all elements of education efficiency and its technical efficiency and the technological progress of index.The conclusion shows that the efficiency of education in the eastern,central and western regions showed a decreasing trend in turn,diminishing the regional education factors,leading to the diminishing of eastern region due to the lack of technical efficiency.Reason of diminishing in the central and western regions is the decreasing technological progress index.
