Abstract
The Three Gorges Project is the dominant reservoir over the Yangtze River, which has been affecting the natural evolution of the downstream riverbed. The evolution of the riverbed in the Dongting Lake joint reach of the Yangtze River is analysed based on the observed data of hydrology and underwater topogrophy. It is inferred that after the operation of the Three Gorges Project there is no much change of the amount of water from the upper reach and sediment transported is much less. The riverbed of the reach is generally kept stable with alternatel scour and deposition.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
