Abstract
After the Three Gorges Reservoir operating, the change of the relationship between the Yangtze River and Dongting Lake is the key for influence of bringing middle-lower reaches of the Yangtze River under control and water resources development and protection strategy. The Jingjiang channel erosion, changes on runoff three diversions from Jingjiang reach to Dongting Lake, changes of water level at Chenglingji station and erosion/deposition in Dongting Lake are analyzed in this paper.Based on the measured data after the Three Gorges Project operating, the complexity of relationship between the Yangtze River and Dongting Lake is the focus of long-term studies and the results of previous studies are also evaluated.
