Abstract

Objective: To explore the clinical value of serum AFP and VEGF combined detection in patients with Hepatocellular Carcinoma. Methods: The AFP and VEGF level in serum samples including 20 cases with HCC and 20 healthy cases were detected quantitatively with radio-immunity and chemistry method and ELISA respectively. Results: The serum AFP negative of Hepatocellular Carcinoma was not significantly of healthy cases(P0.05) and the serum AFP positive of Hepatocellular Carcinoma was significantly higher than that of healthy cases(P0.01).The serum VEGF level of Hepatocellular Carcinoma was significantly higher than that of healthy cases(P0.01).The positive rate was 60%(AFP) and 75%(VEGF) and 85%(AFP simultaneously with VEGF) in Hepatocellular Carcinoma patients. Conclusions: The positive rate could be elevated significantly in the patients with Hepatocellular Carcinoma when the serum AFP and VEGF were simultaneously detected, particularly for the serum AFP negative patients.
