Abstract
Cytomorphology forms of anther and microspore development of male sterile line(9813A)and homomaintainer line (9813B)in pepper of Laijiao No.1,have been observed by the paraffin setion slice up technology. The result showed that the flowers of the male-sterile are smaller than that of the homomaintainer line clearly. The male-sterile stage results from the tapetum cell's abnormal development .Compared with the homomaintainer line, the sterility of the microspore results from the tapetum's early disorganized and high vacuolized. The meiosis process of the sterile line is abnormal. The anth has few or no pollens.
