Abstract

Both Peking Opera and dance came into being simultaneously among the social life and productive activities of the mankind. As two kinds of performance of art, they have many different characteristics in common. This article explores the acting art of Peking Opera to present its aesthetic feature through one aspect. The aesthetic way of dancing and martial arts of Peking Opera is discussed in the way of using the five basic elements: body, spirit,music, energy and tempo.
