Abstract
The development of tumor results from multiple factors.Gelatinase plays general roles in the process and it is a hot spot in research of malignant tumor.In this article,we review the achievement of last ten years' researches on gelatinase,including it's basic characters,such as primary structure,substrates,activation and inhibition,and it's roles in the growth and development of tumor,angiogenesis,metastasis and therapy.
