Abstract
The macrobenthic samples were collected in the coastal Waters of Qingdao in the survey in April.2007.The characteristics of the macrbenthic population are analyzed to study the dominant species, biomass, abundance, and the species diversity, and to conduct the CLUSTER analysis for the population classification and to learn the pollutional impacts on the population.89 species are found in the area, including 41 species of Polychaeta,32 of Crostacea,5 of Mollusca,6 of Echinodermata and 5 of the others. The dominant species are Callianassa japonica and Amphioplus japonicus.High values of the average biomass and the abundance are located in the near-shore region. It is learnt from the CLUSTER analysis that the values of Bray-Curtis similarity in the macrobenthic community structure are very low at the 15 stations, ranging from 10% to 30%.The values are above 4% at the S10,S13,S3 and S9 stations. The macrobenthic communities are impacted by the pollutions at the S6,S7,S12,and S13 stations,as the ABC curves show. They are normal without any pollution impact at the other stations.
