Abstract
Objective To observe the efficacy of abdominal acupuncture on intervertebral lumbar disc protrusion.Methods 100 cases of intervertebral lumbar disc protrusion were randomized into abdominal acupuncture treatment(trial group)and traction control group(control group),50 cases in each one.In control group,computerized traction was applied,and in trial group,abdominal acupuncture was used.Results The total effective rate was 82.97% in control group and was 91.30% in trial group,indicating significant difference in comparison(P0.01).Conclusion Abdominal acupuncture is effective apparently on intervertebral lumbar disc protrusion and deserves to be promoted in clinical application.
