Abstract

The digital switch valve integrated by two two-position-three-way ball valves was presented. The valve body can act as the heel piece of the electromagnet, the armature as the amplify lever so that the valve body and the lever can be a part of the magnetic circuit. The electromagnetic coil is sealed in the valve body, which has waterproof and pressure resistance performance. Therefore, this kind of valve can be fit for the hydraulic system in deep seawater. This paper proposes a saw-shaped structure in the contact part between the electromagnetic core and the armature.By using the Finite Element Method to analyse the numerical value of electromagnetic core and armature, the characteristic curves of electromagnetic force brought by different structures and physical dimensions can be obtained. The results of the simulation show that the electromagnet, with the saw-shaped structure, has large suction force in the previous stage and gradually reduced force in the remain stage. This can help decrease the impace and increase the response frequency.
