Abstract
Objective: To investigate the changes of biological characteristics of hemorheology and erythrocyte membrane of model rats with stagnation of phlegm and blood. Methods: 40 SD male rats were randomly divided into four groups, with ten in each group. Ten- days group was subdivided into a blank group and a model group; twenty- days group was also subdivided into a blank group and a model group. High fat emulsion was continuously given to model rats intragastrically for 10 days and 20 days respectively, and then determine the hemorheology indexes and activity of erythrocyte membrane. Results: Compared with the blank group, the serous CHO,TG,LDL- C and GLU were increased significantly( P 0. 05),and HDL- C was decreased obviously( P 0. 05); the whole blood viscosity and the plasma viscosity were increased obviously( P 0. 05,P 0. 01); Na+- K+- ATP enzyme and SOD activity were decreased obviously( P 0. 05,P 0. 05),and the contents of MDA and membrane cholesterol were increased significantly( P 0. 05),and SA had a decreased tendency. Conclusion: Models with stagnation of phlegm and blood can cause the increase of cholesterol, and the plasma viscosity is also increased. It might lead to the decrease of SOD and Na+- K+-ATP enzyme, meanwhile,MDA and membrane cholesterol contents have been changed to different degrees. Meanwhile, the content of SA has a decreased tendency.
