Abstract
In the test the rice halls,a new material of producing furfural, were hydrolyzed by sulfuric acid. The comparison of the furfural yield was studied on 4 parameters of the concentration of sulfuric acid, the liquid-tosolid ratio, the temperature of reaction, the time of reaction by using steam heating in reactor.Through many batches of treats, the optimum hydrolyzed technology parameters for producing furfural were obtained as following: sulfuric acid concentration of 10%,hydrolyze time of 4 h,temperature of 170 ℃ and liquid/solid ratio of 6.Under this condition, the furfural yield reached 62% of the theoretical amount, being 12% higher than that with corn core.
