Abstract
Furfural production from wheat stalk is studied in this article. The comparison of the furfural yield is studied on parameters of the time of drying, the concentration of ammonium chloride, the time of reaction. The results are tested by UV-spectrophotometric.Through many batches of treats, the optimum technology parameters for production furfural are obtained as following:drying time of 6 h(100 ℃),ammonium chloride concentration of 20 %,reaction time of 5 h.Under the condition, the yield of furfural reachs 65% of the theoretical amount, being 15% higher than that with corn core.
