Abstract

Objective:It was have through surveillance study on vector of malaria in the controlled areas in Zhoushan city, which was carried out from 1994 to 1999, to predict the potention energy of transmitting malaria. Methods:Observation on the population and ecology of Anopheles. Results: Anopheles sinensis was the only vector and was not Anopheles anthropophagus , nay. Anopheles sinensis was not dominant species. The fluctuation of it for transmission of P.virax was coincident with malaria incidence. The vector capacity has remained at a low level since 1994. Conclusion:No serious prevalance of malaria were found.
