Abstract
There are some difficulties in efficiently mining thin coal seam and utilizing surface miners at surface coal mine.This study investigates the technical problems associated with thin coal seam mining using theoretical analysis method.Based on the production capacity calculation formula of surface mining equipment,the production capacity of T1255 surface miner and L-2350 front-end loader are calculated respectively.In addition,according to the amount of coal reserve and the coal seam conditions at 5# coal seam within an annual advance distance,a feasible mining plan is developed and the numbers of key mining equipment are determined.The study results show that one T1255 surface miner can be used for mining the coal planned for a year and the rational ratio of truck and shovel,such as between MT4400 truck and L-2350 front-end loader,is 6:1.
