Abstract
Objective:To explore an effective method of therapy for severe ventricular hemorrhage. Methods: Sixty patients with severe ventricular hemorrhage were randomly divided into treatment group ( n = 30) and control group ( n =30). The former were treated with medicine, bilateral ventricles mini invasive puncture drainage and lumbar cistern drainage; the latter were treated with conventional medical treatment. The clinical effect of both groups was observed respectively. Results: (1) The overall effective rate was 70.0% and excellent effective rate was 53.3%, they were significantly higher than that of the control group (16.7% and 10.0%). There was significant difference between the two groups ( P 0.05). (2) The time for evacuation of hematoma was significantly shorter in the treatment group than that of the control group ( P 0.05). (3) The death rate of the treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group ( P 0.05). Conclusion: Bilateral ventricles mini invasive puncture drainage adding lumbar cistern drainage is a safe and effective method in the treatment of severe ventricular hemorrhage.
