Abstract
Objective To study the effects of arbutin and glabridin on tyrosinase activity and melanogenesis in cultured B16 routine melanoma cells. Methods Different concentrations of them were incubated with B16 murine melanoma cells, after that tyrosinase activity, melanin content and the rate of proliferation of melanoma cells were measured respectively. Results Glabridin had a concentration-dependent inhibition on melanogenesis compared with Arbutin, and there were statistical significance between them (P0.05).Conclusion Arbutin and glabridin can inhibit melanogenesis in B16 murine melanoma cells, but there were some cell toxicity.
