Effect of soil improvement on soil nutrients and soil enzyme activities in low-yield stands of Camellia oleifera

Abstract

The soil nutrients and soil enzyme activity were studied and analyzed for the four improved soil in the low-yield Camellia oleiferon stands.The results show that four types of soil improvement all improved soil nutrient release effectively,and adding organic manure to the soil in the soil improvement treatment had the most effective impact on improving soil nutrient release and activating soil enzymes.Whether soil improvement or not,the vertical distribution of soil enzymes activity in four kinds of soil was basically the same,but the intensity of enzyme activity changed greatly.Correlation analysis shows that soil organic matter,ammonia nitrogen,rapidly-available phosphorus,rapidly-available potassium and soil catalase,invertase,urease,and phosphatase were positively related each other,the content of soil organic matter and activity of the four enzymes presented a very significant positive correlation.Ammonia nitrogen and catalase were highly significantly positive correlated,and invertase activity and phosphatase activity positively correlated;however,the correlations of rapidly-available phosphorus to activity of the four enzymes were not significant.Rapidly-available potassium and catalase activity was positively correlated.
