Abstract

In the late Ming Dynasty,Korea became the vassal state of the Qing Dynasty. But Korea still secretly sent emissaries to the Ming Dynasty. So,the attemptation of Combining with Korea against the Qing had come into being among some generals of Ming Dynasty’s armed force. From 1640 AD to 1642 AD,Wang Wuwei, the assistant commander of the Ming Dynasty, had led fleet left Dengzhou to Korea for three times to establish initial contact with Korea. It was a pity that the Ming Dynasty was in an inferior position in the war against the Qing Dynasty and it could not offer strong backing to Korea to break away from the Qing Dynasty publicly. So the treaty of alliance could not be achieved between the Ming Dynasty and Korea, which led to the failure of the attemptation of Combining with Korea against the Qing Dynasty.
