Abstract

Through the reasonable hypothesis and the simplification, the model of the Segment Joint bending stiffness is established, and the formula of the segment joint bending stiffness is derived. This model considered the influence of contact surface geometry, the number of bolts, the position of bolts, the bolts tightening force,as well as the effect of bending joints, axial force and other factors on the bending stiffness of joints.Compared with the calculation results of the contact mechanics model, when the concrete in the compression zone is within the limits of flexibility, the two models are in good agreement.Normally the concrete is at the elastic condition, and the computation process of this model is simple and convenient as well, therefore, this model can be considered as a reference for the design of shield tunnel.
