Abstract

Objective To investigate the resistance of 70 strains Acinetobacter baumannii and main genotypes of beta-lactamases in Nanjing district. Methods Kirby-Bauer method was used to detect the resistance to five kinds of antimicrobial agents against 70 strains Acinetobacter baumannii.Main genotypes of beta-lactamases were assayed by PCR.Results Among the 70 strains of Acinetobacter baumannii, the resistance rate to cefoperazone/shlbactam was 7.1%,the resistance rates to cefepine and ceftazidime were 61.4% and 64.3%,respectively.The resistance rates to cefazolin and cefuroxime were more than 80.0%.TEM type beta-lactamases genes were positive in all of the 40 isolates tested, which were the multiple-drug-resistant.GES type beta-lactamases were positive in 2 strain,VEB type was founded on 1 strain. CARB,DHA and PER genes were not found in all isolates tested. Conclusion In Nanjing district,TEM type beta-lactamase is the main type of Acinetobacter baumanniss, which is related to high-resistance to the beta-lactamases antibiotics.
