Abstract

Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of improved compound trabeculectomy and extraction of lens in angle-closure glaucoma. Methods :48 cases(52eyes) underwent improved compound trabeculectomy and extraction of lens was observed group when 38 cases(42eyes)underwent trabeculectomy as control to compare the postoperative intraocular pressure(iop),filtration and the depth of anterior chamber between the two groups. Results The incidence rate of shallow anterior chamber in observed group and control group were 3.85% and 30.95% respectively( 0.05),on the first day of postoperation ,twelve months later, functional filtering bubles were 84.62%and 66.67% respectively(0.05) the success rate was 92.31%and 69.05%respectively (0.05).the rate of correceted vision0.05 is 65.38%and 30.95% respectively conclusion The application of the therapeutic effect of improved compound trabeculectomy and extraction of lens may improve the rate of success and reduce the complications
