Abstract

Objective To discuss the therapeutic effect of compound trabeculectomy in glaucoma. Methods 44 eyes underwent com pound trabeculectomy was obeserved group and 42 eyes underwent trabeculectomy as control to compare the postoperative intraocular pressure (IOP), filtration and the depth of anterior chamber bctween the two groups. Results The incidence rate of shallow anterior chamber on the first day after operation in observed group and control group were 4.5% and 21.4% respectively ( P0.05) .61 eyes were followed up, 1 years later, functional filtering bubles were 84.8% and 60.7% respectively( P 0.05) ,the success rate was 93.9% and 71.4% respectively in two groups ( P0.05). Conclusion The application of compound trabeculectomy in glaucoma may improve the surgical success rate and reduce the complications.
