An Empirical Study on the Relationship between Human Capital Stock and Economic Growth——Based on International Comparative Perspective

Abstract

The paper has an empirical study on the relationship between the human assets stock and economic growth on the basis of comparative analysis of 55 major countries' human capital stock level based on the international comparative perspective. The research rseults show the composite index of China's human capital stock located at 38 in 55 countries,which is in the third echelon; The human capital stock( including educational human capital,health human capital and liquidity human capital),has a significant positive impact mechanism on economic growth; Health human capital has a significant positive relationship with liquidity human capital and educational human capital,and educational human capital has a significant negative relationship between liquidity human capital. China should enhance the level of China's human capital stock through enhancing the quality of higher education,advocating the society concept of lifelong learning,increasing investment in healthcare,constructing a good cooperation of enterprises and universities and knowledge sharing mechanism,attenting the quality of health workerss and building a smooth labor markets,so as to promote economic growth.
