Abstract
Objective To investigate the therapeutic effects of Gushenchang,an and Trimebutine Maleate in treating Irritable Bowel Syndrome(IBS).Metholds 91 patients were randomly devided into two groups.Treatment group(54patients) was given Gushenchang,an 600mg,po,tid;Trimebutine Maleate 200mg,po,tid;control group(37 patients) was given Trimebutine Maleate 200mg,po,tid.The course was four week. Results For treatment group and control group, the overall efficacy rates were 87.04% and 72.98% respectively. The therapeutic effects of treatment group were better than those of the control group(P0.05).There were remarkabal differences between treatment group and control group in recurrence rate(P0.01).Conclusion The combination of Gushenchang,an and Pinaverium Bromide is a more effective method of treating IBS.
