Advances in the research of Intestinal mucosal bio-barrier

Intestinal mucosal bio-barrier is an important part of the intestinal mucosal barrier system.In essence,intestinal mucosal bio-barrier is a kind of micro-ecological balance system which is dominated by the intestinal probiotics.The micro-ecosystem is able to protect intestinal mucosa against the invasion of pathogen both by itself and by synergies between it and human inherent intestinal barrier.Both biological role of intestinal barrier itself and its relationship with human inherent intestinal barrier are not very clear.This paper overviews the advancement in the mechanisms of action of Intestinal mucosal bio-barrier in recent years.
