Abstract
Objective:To detect the expression of CD146 in breast cancer, and to analyze the relationship between its expression and breast cancer clinicopathological features. Methods:Tissue samples of 10 normal breast and 79 breast cancer were collected. The expressions of CD146,ER,PR,HER2 and P53 were detected by immunohistochemistry. The relationship between CD146 expression and the clinicopathological features of breast cancer was analyzed.Results:CD146was not expressed in normal breast tissues, but was expressed in about 24.1%of breast cancers tissues, with an intently of higher expression in breast cancers with higher histological grade(P0.05).CD146 was predominately expressed in ER and PR negative breast cancer(P0.05).CD146 expression was not related to age, tumor size, lymph node metastasis,as well as to HER2 and PS3 expression.Conclusion:CD146 is highly expressed in ER negative breast cancer and may be involve in epithelial-mesenchymal transition in breast cancer.
