LIU Xie's Comments on the Conduciveness of Divination Studies to Literature Growth

Divination Studies was a school of thought prevalent during Han, Wei and the Six Dynasties. LIU Xie considered Divination Studies as absurd, on the one hand, but regarded it as conducive, on the other, to literature growth in that there were plentiful events and the gorgeous words in the literature of Divination Studies. Obviously, these features enriched the existing body of literature.
