The Classification of Formative Evaluation and its Application

This study,based on the formative evaluation classification into synchro-feedback and asyn-chro-feedback,has accomplished the conversion between summative evaluation and formative evaluation of instruction tests with reference to norm standard.This classification is greatly applicable in College English teaching evaluation in that not only is it in conformity with learners’ cognition,but also beneficial for teachers to alter and diagnose their teaching processes and outcomes.
