Abstract

This paper analyzes three generations of tragic characters of intellectuals in LU Xun's novels, i.e., tragic character of self-vanishing of intellectuals in the late feudal society, that of self-split of intellectuals in the period of the Revolution of 1911, and that of dream disappearance during May 4th Period. The three tragic characters show us LU Xun's deep understanding of the history and his in-depth thoughts about the society.
