Rebellious, Struggling and Suffering Souls ——On the Images of Enlightening Intellectuals in Lu Xun’s Novels

Abstract

By analyzing enlightening intellectuals (including the author himself) in Lu Xun's novels, this paper reveals their tragic fate, which is rebellious, struggling, degenerative and even dead. It attempts to grasp author's train of thought which was embodied by heroes to find deep reason why Lu Xun's revolt against despair ended in vain, and it also analyzes the meaning of this sort of novels.
