Tocqueville's Viewpoints on the Great Revolution of France

In his book The old Regime and the French Revolution,Tocqueville makes original comments on the great revolution of France as follows: The great revolution of France overthrows but on the other hand carries forward the old system.Such a great revolution occurs in a place without feudal oppression in times of prosperity for the reasons of enlightenment ideology,political and religious revolution,the great influence of old system on countrymen,the purpose of the great revolution as well as the character of the French nation.
