On the Present Condition, Classification of the Chinese Philology and the Position of the Historical Philology

Although the chinese philology has developed rapidly in recent ten years and more, still this subject has existed many questions, The chinese philology should both be regarded as a independent subject and a grade-1 subject which includes two grade-2 subjects, That is ,the chinese classical philology and modern philology. Each grade-2 subject includes a number of grade-3 subjects.Owing to the continuous appearance of the works of specialism philology, the historical philology which ever represented the entire chinese traditional philology became a thorough specialism philology. The mission representing the entire chinese traditional philology has been replaced by the Chinese classical philology.
